Quick Trip Home

So far 2006 hasn't been kind to our family.

I've been very worried about my Mom these past few weeks. Mom has had a number of health issues the past couple of years and a few weeks ago my sister forced her to go to the doctor because she was concerned about Mom's lack of energy. After that exam she was refered to a cardiologist who ordered tests. The tests indicated that there was something wrong with her heart so this past Tuesday she was scheduled to be admited to the hospital to undergo a coronary catheterization.

I decided to take advantage of Stephanie being home from school so I flew out to Colorado Springs on Monday and got back Thursday night. What the doctor discovered once they got the dye in isn't good, no easy fix unfortunately.

For now Mom is back home and resting on oxygen. It tore me up to leave but I can't expect Stephanie to fill my role here at home for an extended period.
